The weather on Saturday was in the 30’s so Ellie and I ventured out with our coffees (yes Ellie too) to find the grave that Darrin had mentioned earlier. Even though we had the waypoints and his tracks we had no luck in finding it. I blame the snow. We ended up walking South of the main trail in search of the old roads.
We ended up finding what I think is the old Grubb Rd before it intersected with what is now Teeple Lake Rd. It runs along side the remains of an old wire fence and crosses one of the ponds, which also has some interesting old stone lined drains flowing into it. We continued on down the old road to find a number of unmarked trails branching off from it and a number of stacked stone features with stone line paths. Lots of new pictures and new waypoints to explore later on when Spring time thaws things out.
