I just got home from 4 or 5 hours of trail survey. Not a lot of historical features, but plenty of nature. With an inch or so of fresh snow, it’s the best possible time to track wildlife. Following trails used mostly by deer and rabbits (who’d have thought a rabbit would lead you into a briar patch?). Mapping them out as part of the most detailed map ever made of Highland Recreation Area.
That’s not to say there wasn’t anything historical, of course.
