This place NEVER ends! No, seriously. We’ve been hiding behind our computers working on our upcoming Early Findings book, and in the process discovered we needed some more measurements. Tonight, we converged on Haven Hill to collect the missing data. We went out looking for 36 measurements at 10 different features, all located fairly close to each other. That’s it. Throw the tape across 36 lengths and all done. Shouldn’t take more than an hour or two, right?
Nine pages of notes later, we stayed until dark, and never made it to the last three features, missing ten measurements. Along the way, at the seven features we did get to, we made significant new discoveries at four. Time for some rewriting…
And that’s just the archeology. Rob will likely have a post coming soon with lots of information about the dozens of types of mushrooms we found and much more.
We’re still hoping to have our first book out in late September, even with all this new material.
